Access and rights

Access and rights for each employee in the Ledger module are defined in the Clinic setup. Access can be set per type of role (e.g. for doctors), or for each individual employee.

Only the Clinic Administrators at the Clinic can edit access and rights.

The different access rights in Ledger are:

  • Exporting reports: gives the ability to download reports in an editable format.

  • Can invoice for others: gives permission for one user in the clinic to generate invoices on behalf of others. Secretaries often make use of this feature to provide support to doctors.

  • Can invoice for themselves: gives permission to generate invoices for their own patients and appointments.

Change access rights for a role

Ledger rights for a role are located within the settings for each role in a clinic. To view or edit these access rights:

  1. Go to Clinic, then Clinic setup.

  2. Under the Departments tab, click on the role you wish to edit.

  3. A new window will appear. Click on the Data access tab, and scroll down to Ledger.

  4. Make any changes, and then click Update.

All users with this role will have their access rights updated. If you want to set access rights individually, you will need to edit each person one by one.

Change access rights for an employee

To view or edit these access rights:

  1. Go to Clinic, then Clinic setup.

  2. Under the Employees tab, click on the role you wish to edit.

  3. A new window will appear. Click on the Data access tab, and scroll down to Ledger.

  4. Make any changes, and then click Update.
